About us

Hi there! We’re Magdalena and Noel Rojo

We’re a journalist and a documentary photographer with over 15 years of combined experience working from-the-field, alongside years of copywriting and public relations experience. We’re passionate about global issues and human rights.

Having worked in 50+ countries, across multiple cultures and social and economic contexts, we’ve come to understand the complexities of topics such as migration, climate change and other environmental challenges, indigenous people's rights, women rights, media freedom, among others.

So, what we do in a nutshell: We narrate your social projects’ impact using a from-the-field approach. This allows us to create profound, authentic and professional storytelling that engages with today’s socially adept individuals. From brand building to fundraising, to customer relations and even employee moral, our content will boost your overall bottom line.

So, why should you work with us?

  • We’re professional, reliable, and flexible collaborators.

  • Our journalism background ensures our storytelling is well researched, culturally sensitive and engaging.

  • Our marketing and public relations experience allows us to find great angles while keeping your vision in mind.

  • We have a knack for people, logistics and are not afraid to get ourselves up close and into the action.

More about Magdalena and Noel

Six years ago, we founded the long-term, global project Women Who Stay to bring unheard voices of women who stay behind while their family members migrate. Our stories have been published by the international media, such as Deutsche Welle, News Deeply, Mongabay, Freund von Freunden, The New Humanitarian, etc. We have worked in the field with many different NGOs in various countries. We have participated in the investigation of the Spiritual Exemplars Project about social/humanitarian work and spirituality by the University of Southern California.

We have experience giving speeches at universities and festivals, organizing photo exhibitions and other events, working as commissioning editors.

We speak English, Spanish, Slovak and Czech.

We work slowly, yet effectively, to understand and thus bring the best result.

A little more about us

I love drinking freshly roasted coffee or tea with people that grow it. I enjoy swimming and forest walks and watching my son enjoy the sea or the woods.

When I’m not taking pictures, I’m usually reading poetry, playing guitar or spending time with my wife and son. I love taking my son on moto-taxi rides.
